Milling machine with motors installed

Automatizando una fresadora

The next project that we are going to make is retrofitting a milling machine.
Retrofitting means replacing all the manual elements in the machine for automatic ones. These consist of electric motors, electronic sensors, etc... In this article we are introducing to the mechanical system of these devices.
This computer controlled milling machine s, we will have a CNC device (Computer Numerically Controlled).
Through some years of experience machining with a CNC device, i have seen how easily we can make incredible pieces in metal or more materials, in little time, and how the difficulty of machining has moved from the machine itself to the computer programs that designs the pieces. These are the CAD-CAM programs.

A CNC device is for me, one of the most important machines we can have in the yard, and I think it's a must for the professional and the hobbyst.
With this, we can machine all the pieces we need for the projects, fast and with sufficient quality.
With a non automated milling machine, some people are able to make complex things, but with much more work, phisical and mental, and the results usually are not on par with the CNC made pieces.
Also there are shops that can machine the pieces for you, but in the long way it's very expensive for our little pockets. There is also the time line, having a cnc in your bag makes you very fast and responsive.

How to make a multimedia center with mythTV

Una manera diferente de ver television:

I don't usually watch television. In Spain there is an important poverty of contents, and in addition it does not help the fact that a film with a duration of one hour and a half is transformed into a film of at least two hours with the amount of publicity they advertise.

Information about what you are watching.

After doing the center multimedia, this is my new form to watch television:
Once a week I program the essential programs for

electronics components recycling

We know that electronics components are not cheap at all, and it's important to recycle as much as we can to help our pockets, and indirectly to the planet we live.
To do this task easier, we are going to explain a way we have to reuse and recycle electronic components in an easy and cheapy way.

The first thing to do is stealing the iron from the kitchen, in a way that mum or mrs wife don't realize, and it's good if you find a good place to hide it for the rest of your life, as the lead that compounds the solder is very toxic, so it's better if you don't cook with it never more.

Iron to desolder.

web's beginning

Well, here we start our walking across virtual lands. The objective of this Web is to document the way we are prepared to undertake to be able to materialize one of our great dreams: the construction of robots. For it, we will document what we are making to obtain this objective.

The difficulty to construct robots is multidiscipline knowledge is needed, like computer science engineering, electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering, and in addition you need tools that if you make them are true projects in themselves.

Therefore what we are going here to approach are subjects related to developments of PCB's, general electronics, FPGA's, motors, mechanics (also we are going to construct a CNC) and subjects of computer science engineering that it will orbit almost always around free software (Linux).
